It won’t take you long to discover that we’re more than just a Sunday church; we are a network of small groups.

UPDATE

The Assembly of God of Ellsworth will meet this Sunday, May 10th, but it will be in a very modified manner. Our trust is in the Lord, who has instructed us to walk in faith, but also in submission to those who are in authority (Romans 13:1-5). It is interesting to remember that it was God who first established quarantine as the method to deal with highly contagious disease (Leviticus 13:45-46, “And the leper in whom the plague is, his clothes shall be rent, and his head bare, and he shall put a covering upon his upper lip, and shall cry, Unclean, unclean. All the days wherein the plague shall be in him he shall be defiled; he is unclean: he shall dwell alone; without the camp shall his habitation be.” In fact, God uses this to show how we are to treat sin…anything contrary to the expressed desire and will of our Father in Heaven. We are to isolate it out of our lives. We must not flirt with it or open ourselves up to it being in our lives. Yes, Jesus died in order that we can be forgiven, but not in order for us to continue to walk in sin. Far worse than covid19 is what is happening to our world that is moving farther and farther away from God’s design and will. We must turn back to our Father in Heaven and away from all that is contrary to His design.

We will not operate in fear, but we will show honor to our government leaders and medical personnel who are attempting to guide us to a safe recovery. We will begin at 11:00 am and leave at 12:00 noon. Family units will sit together and strive to keep 6 foot of space in between family units.

Anyone who is susceptible to the virus, they are not feeling good or are running fever, their work demands separation, or they just feel uneasy about attending should not in any way feel guilty for remaining at home. Make sure you keep your eyes upon Jesus and be reminded of how much He loves each and every one of us…also remember in the future how important it is for the family of God to be united in every way, to value regular time together, and to encourage one another to draw close to God and make Him the center of our lives, our families, our churches, our government, and our world. God is Good ALL the Time…even when we don’t understand exactly what He is doing at the moment.
